Located in historic Bunnell, Florida, just minutes away from everything! Thunder Gulch campground was constructed in 2001 on a piece of property that fronts on the US1 loop, with exit 289 to the north and exit 284 to the south. It is close to two cities, quaint and historic Bunnell, just 2 miles away and Palm Coast with its major shopping, restaurants and city services just 3 miles away. Thunder Gulch contains 70 full service sites and an abundant primitive and tent camping area. In 2003 The Black Cloud Restaurant and Lounge was constructed. It is not only the center of campground activities but has become an area mecca for good food and nightly entertainment. It contains nearly 5000 square feet of space and has a hunting and ski lodge feel with its comfortable decor. Believe me when I tell you "It's a great place!"

Attractions in our area:

Golfing- Twenty golf courses in the area including three signature courses and the LPGA International Course with state of the art practice facilities.
Hunting - Hunting is a local favorite with a long whitetail deer season, spring and fall turkey hunts and year around boar hunting.

Fishing - Deep sea fishing in the blue waters of the Atlantic with charters out of the Ponce Inlet or St. Augustine, or in your boat launched from one of the many modern FREE launch sites along the Intercoastal Waterway. Fresh water fishing on the St Johns River or on nearby lakes.

The pristine Atlantic beaches of Flagler Beach, where you can walk to shops and restaurants, attend church and participate in events at the fair grounds. The "drive on" beaches of Daytona, minutes away from The Daytona International Speedway featuring The Daytona 500 Experience.

RV Camping
Full Service Sites offer 30 amp electricity with some 50 amp service. City water and sewer service is provided.

Tent Camping
Abundant Tent camping space is available at Thunder Gulch. Some spaces have Water & Electric service. Picnic tables are available as well as charcoal grills. They are located in grassy pine forests with access to Hog Pond and The Black Cloud Restaurant and lounge. Hog Pond offers catch & release fishing to Campers.

Waterfront Lots
Water Front Lots are available on Hog Pond, a small lake well stocked with fish for catch & rlease fishing. Water font space is available for both full service and tent camping.

Camping Packages
Special camping packages are availabe from time to time.

Storage
Off site storage for RVs, Boats and other toys is available in the campground.

Restaurant / Lounge
The Black Cloud was built and operated by John and Sandy for 14 years. Now that they are reaching maturity, they decided to reduce their activity to just operating the campground. They have leased the Black Cloud to an experienced restaurant operator, Tim Finnegan.
Tim is well known in the area as the owner of Finnegan's on Flagler Beach. He is keeping the tradition of the Black Cloud in tact and adding even more entertainment. You will find that the new Finnegan's Black Cloud Saloon offering a great menu and fabulous entertainment.
