Campground gate is locked at 8:00pm
Call 352-685-2048 for the gate combination if you will be arriving late.
Maximum 2 vehicles allowed per site, a fee will be charged for extra vehicles
2-night minimum stay on weekends, 3-night minimum stay on holiday weekends
The sites in Full Hook Up Area 2 are available for long term reservations during the non-peak season (between October 16 and April 15)
If you want to make long-term reservations (greater than 21 days) in the non-peak season please make your reservations through the Call Center at: (877) 444-6777. The web site cannot currently accommodate a long term reservation.
**Due to the popularity and extended length of winter reservations, you must stay on the site you book in the non-peak season. Site switching will not be accommodated, the only reservable hook-up sites are sites 12-31.**

Description Salt Springs Recreation Area is located between the St. Johns and Ocklawaha Rivers, 35 miles east of Ocala, in the Ocala National Forest. The recreation area included a spectacular natural mineral spring, which gives the area its name. The semi-tropical region gives the campground a mixture of pines and palms, which lush greenery and warm temperatures.
There is plenty of activity to keep campers occupied, in addition to swimming the springs, campers come to fish, snorkel, hike and boat. Hikers have easy access to the Florida National Scenic Trail. The springs, Lake George and the many surrounding rivers and streams provide ample opportunity for water activities.
Reservations can be made year round, and can be made up to 6 months in advance. They must however, be made at least four days before your intended arrival date.
