Big Lake Lodge is located on the “rim canal” adjacent to Lake Okeechobee’s northeastern shore.  The rim canal offers boating and fishing in a tranquil and protected setting.  You can leave our boat docks, travel down the rim canal, and pass through the Henry Lock to enter the world-famous Lake Okeechobee.  This 750 square mile lake features excellent fishing, and is frequently touted as the “Speckled Perch Capitol of the World!”  Whether you are fishing for large mouth bass, speckled perch (crappie), bream (bluegill, redear, warmouth), or catfish, you will surely agree that Big Lake Lodge offers excellent access to some amazing fishing holes.  We can even help arrange expert guide service or we will share our local knowledge to help you catch a big one.  Professional anglers frequently stay at Big Lake Lodge, because we are only minutes away from Okee-Tantie, Lake Okeechobee’s major tournament center.
